Litter bins
Litter bins are an essential part of urban environment. Requirements to this type of products are simple: convenient scavenging, easy maintenance, durability. Quantity of litter bins depends on density of foot traffic. Thus, in crowded streets, markets, stations, litter bins should be placed within 50m from each other, whereas in parks, gardens, squares — within 100m from each other. There should be at least two litter bins on each bus stop and at the entrances to trade buildings. Scavenging must be done about twice a day or more often.
Outdoor litter bins can be of various types: metal floor bins, concrete bins, plastic bins or bins attached to building walls. If we compare design of architectural landscape elements characteristic of different countries we will easily find some distinctive features. European outdoor trash bins are mostly universal and demand minimum maintenance. Ideal model of such trash bins can be often seen in the streets of Paris, viz. the bin itself is absent, there is only a trash plastic bag fixed on a metal hoop.
High quality street litter bins help citizens to maintain the environment of housing areas and city streets. Future City offers litter bins of various sizes and appearances: from complex bins made of polished granite, powder-painted metal and wood (larch of Grade A) to simplified variants.
