City benches

Designing of urban furniture (city benches in particular) is a very diverse topic which includes various spheres of knowledge, such as human anatomy, human engineering, mechanics, chemistry. Future City Limited perfectly accomplishes the challenging task of calculating and designing the most comfortable height of a city bench or a trash bin, width and thickness of wooden elements, etc.

The proportions of city bench and another street furniture optimally fitting human body were introduced in the theory by French architect Le Corbusier. Most of the principles are nowadays applied in modern building and architecture sphere and are never subject to doubt. However, designing of particular city bench element requires certain approach that would differ from the one adjusted to exact standards. That is why each new model of outdoor city bench undergoes a special test. First, a wooden test model is produced according to the drawings. Instead of stone this model uses thick splint-slab. Then experts of the company test the city bench model’s durability and comfort in use, pointing at any possible miscalculations and arranging all necessary improvements.
